Thomas C. Nemes is a Principal in Nemes, Rooney & McKindles, P.C. Mr. Nemes regularly advises clients in a variety of areas, including mergers and acquisitions, business formation and succession planning, taxation, including representation before the I.R.S. and local tax authorities, general corporate and real estate matters, shareholder disputes, estate planning, probate, transactional matters, lender workouts and FINRA disputes. Mr. Nemes has also been involved for some time in the areas of construction law, commercial litigation, fidelity and security law, routinely representing contractors, design professionals, and owners. Mr. Nemes has served as an arbitrator and mediator in commercial and construction matters. In addition, Mr. Nemes conducts a substantial practice in the areas of real estate law, including representation of private developers, construction contractors and sub-contractors.
Mr. Nemes is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and has been involved in various sections of these bar associations, including the business law, probate, estate planning, real property and construction sections.
Mr. Nemes is a 1981 graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Mr. Nemes is a 1977 graduate of Michigan State University. Mr. Nemes is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan as well as the U.S. Court of Claims.
